12 Months of Sign Print Identity

What a Year It’s Been

As we close off our first official year of trading, we’re stepping back to look at some of our personal highlights, from our first project to our latest.

Bringing Form to Life in Southhampton

Our inaugural project was in Southampton, for Form.

We started as we meant to go on, delivering a really eye catching living wall at commercial office building, Form. We love the variety of installations we get involved with, but delivering something that is as dynamic and tactile as this remains up there on our list of favourite fit outs.

Totting Up the Projects in Manchester’s City Centre

In the past 12 months we’ve completed projects at the Manchester Piccadilly Gardens, Castlefield, Royal Exchange and Manchester’s Central Library. And with work currently on site at Factory International, we’re excited to help our clients make their mark in this buzzing city.

We can’t wait to share more about some of these projects in the near future.

Getting Our Gym Shoes On

We also got sporty in the last 12 months. We’ve been supporting Sale Sharks since August with fresh internal and external graphics at its training ground, and there’ll be more happening at the main site, the Salford Community Stadium, within the next few months.

And, on a more personal level, we became proud sponsors of Stalybridge Celtic Football Club, Prestwich Cricket, Tennis & Bowling Club and Cartworth Moor AFC, too!

Supporting the National Health Service

We’ve been really proud to work with the NHS, across three of Manchester University Foundation Trust’s sites. In the past year, we’ve supplied and installed site hoardings, lift wrap graphics, wall graphics and external fascia signs at the MRI, North Manchester General and Wythenshawe hospitals.

Into Double Figures

Being led by our father-son combo, in the form of managing director, Joe Derbyshire, and sales and marketing director, Joseph Derbyshire, means the business really does have a family feel.

And it’s clear it’s a place where people enjoy working: we’ve gone from a team of two to a team of 11 in the last year.

Getting the Accreditations that Matter

In our first full year of business, we prioritised achieving four key certifications. We’ve secured important accreditations in ISO9001 (quality management), ISO14001 (environmental management) and ISO45001 (health and safety).

Plus, we secured “Principal Contractor” status, which was an important marker to demonstrate our skills in overseeing the most complex installation projects.

Watch This Space

Recently, we’ve been embracing our inner kid. We’re helping Kingdom of Sweets with a rebrand of its display units. This national retailer typically occupies free standing kiosks within shopping centres meaning that their display units need to look good from all angles to help draw in sweet-toothed shoppers.

We’ve also signed up with a big new sports retailer to deliver rebrands across their signage suites in their new and existing flagship stores.

Watch this space on these projects and others over the next few months!

High ambitions for the next 12 months

We’re immensely proud of how hard our team has worked this year, but we’re not sitting on our laurels.

We prioritise our own people and want to make sure we’re continually improving our workplace culture and work practices. So, to make sure we maintain our supportive, family-feel business, even as we keep growing in size, we’re working towards the Investors in People accreditation. On top of that, we’re on the path towards becoming a net zero company, looking at not only our manufacturing and installation process but every facet of how the business runs.

With this in mind, we’ve big plans to moving into a new, purpose-built facility later in the Spring, advancing our print and manufacturing services for our customers.
