Comprehensive Signage Refresh for Castlefield Estates, Manchester

Project Scope

Castlefield Estates embarked on an update of its parking signage to meet updated legal standards and reinforce the visual brand across the estate.

Working with designer Studio eNaR, our task was to manufacture and install signage that not only fulfilled legal requirements but also elevated the estate’s aesthetic appeal. The project involved creating bespoke aluminium signs with a sophisticated aged-black powder-coated finish, ensuring durability and style.

The Specifics

The need to update the signs to ensure legal compliance kick-started the signage refresh, and Castlefield Estates took the opportunity to also upgrade the aesthetics to reflect the broader estate brand.

We produced signs featuring text engraving, infilled with white ink and sealed with a matt protective lacquer for a premium, lasting finish.

The Solution

Each element was designed to integrate with and reinforce the existing estate visuals, maintaining a consistent and classy appearance throughout.

The signage suite included:

• Two commanding totem signs at key positions in car parks
• 10 lamp post signs
• 20 smaller wayfinding signs

We advised on the strategic placement of signs for optimal visibility and impact, and devised a practical design solution that would ensure longevity in the Great British elements.

Finally, when it came to getting the signs in the ground, we streamlined our installation process to minimise disruption to estate activities.
